The excellent Mentor-Mentee system in IIMT ensures constant interaction between faculty and students. One faculty member is assigned to a group of 15 to 20 students to counsil them on their personal academic and career concerns. In IIMT mentors share their knowledge, experience and wisdom. They stimulate curiousity and build confidence by presenting new ideas, opportunities and challenges. By providing an open and supportive environment mentors discover talents and interests and define and help in attaining mentee's goals. By sharing stories of achievements with mentee, mentor becomes a role model for them.
Mentor keeps communication open, offers support, defines expectations, maintains contacts, advises them to be honest, innovative & creative, tells them to be reliable and consistent, positive and enthusiastic.
